Gavi Begtrup discussed how Eccrine Systems is integrating developments in microfluidics, miniaturized electronics, and electrochemical biosensors to move diagnostics from the lab to the body. Dr. Begtrup discussed Eccrine's first product, a heat stress and dehydration avoidance monitor for the industrial workforce, as well as future applications for non-invasive, continuous monitoring of biomarkers in sweat to improve health across medicine, industry, military, and sports.

Dr. Bishop provided an overview of DPAc. Comprised of leading GSK scientists with a broad range of backgrounds across numerous therapeutic areas and drug target classes, the DPAc team evaluates, establishes, and co-leads research programs with leading academia researchers to deliver new medicines - pairing the best of academic with GSK's drug expertise to translate innovative research into medicines.
